The Chanda Plan Foundation opens the Chanda Center for Health this month, the country’s first integrated medical center for individuals with physical disabilities. The goal, Chanda Hinton Leichtle says, is to provide patients with the “quality, person-centered, and streamlined health care they deserve.” To wit: The 6,000-square-foot facility, located in Lakewood, will offer primary care, mental health services, and nutrition counseling, plus adaptive yoga and other integrative therapies—all in a space specifically designed to serve a population used to being ignored.
If you want something done right, do it yourself. It’s a saying you’ve probably heard a thousand times—and it seems to be Chanda Hinton Leichtle’s motto.
The Chanda Plan Foundation is helping about 60 people right now—but hope to add more when they open their new facility at 1630 Carr Street in Lakewood, April 10th.
“We’re constantly redefining the way healthcare feels for our participants—and that’s what our new space really offers,” Hinton Leichtle said.
The Chanda Plan Foundation is ready to unveil its new Health Center, the Chanda Center for Health in Lakewood, Colo., in just a few weeks. The Foundation, whose mission is to provide access to integrative therapy, primary care, and other complementary services to improve health outcomes and reduce healthcare costs for persons with physical disabilities, will begin services at its new Health Center beginning April 10th.
The Chanda Plan Foundation's Chanda Hinton Leichtle has been selected as one of the Denver Business Journal's 40 Under 40, which recognizes 40 outstanding local professionals under age 40 for their business success and community contributions.
The winners will be honored at an event on March 16, and profiled in a special Denver Business Journal report to be published on March 17.
